Reference list layout
Start the reference list on a new page with the centered, bold label References. Arrange entries alphabetically, double-space them, and use a 0.5-inch hanging indent.
Set the hanging indent through paragraph settings rather than inserting tabs or spaces. The first line stays at the left margin; following lines are indented. Keep the reference list’s page numbers consistent with the rest of the paper.
