One Author, Journal Article Reference

One Author, Journal Article Reference

Only use the issue number if each issue of a journal begins on page 1, then give the issue number in parentheses immediately after the volume number. Provide the DOI if available.

 

Two Authors, Journal Article Reference

One-Author

Use commas to separate authors, to separate surnames and initials, and to separate initials and suffixes; with two or more authors, use an ampersand (&) before the last author.

 

Three to Seven Authors, Journal Article Reference

Multiple Authors, Journal Article Reference

*Multiple Authors: With two or more names, use an ampersand (&) before the final last name, and use commas to separate the names.

 

More than Seven Authors, Journal Article Reference

When a work is credited to more than seven authors, the reference is listed by providing the names of the first six authors followed by . . . and then the final author. The remainder of the reference follows the same format as that for seven or less authors.
